"The act of revealing oneself fully to another and still being accepted may be the major vehicle of therapeutic help" - Irvin D. Yalom

Services

As a telehealth only practice all sessions are provided via video conferencing, and or over the phone; with appointments lasting 50 minutes. The frequency with which you might see a psychologist will vary depending on your presenting concerns and your psychologist’s assessment of this, and will be collaboratively discussed with you during your initial sessions to ensure you get the most out of accessing therapeutic supports.

Sessions are most commonly attended at weekly, fortnightly, or monthly intervals depending on your need and presenting concerns. During the initial sessions your presenting concerns will be explored, and a thorough assessment conducted to assist me to better know how to help you with what is of most importance to you, and to ensure that the practice is a good fit for your needs.

Approach

I have always held an integrated and collaborative therapeutic approach in all my work, so as to best meet my clients where they present.

I am well versed in the delivery of evidence-based clinical interventions such as:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

  • Mentalization Based Treatment (MBT)

  • Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT)

  • Mindfulness

  • Solution Focused Brief Therapy

  • Schema Therapy

The theoretical orientations I frequently draw from to integrate a range of evidence-based treatments are:

  • Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

  • Attachment Theory

  • and the Biopsychosocial Model

Service provision is dependent on the presenting concerns and the goals of the client, with services ranging from short-term brief solution focussed therapy through to long-term therapeutic intervention where clinically indicated.
